Application Jitters
The moment we start thinking that we can do things ourselves, we start craving independence. However, the first real shot at this would have to be in college. We have more freedom as well as more responsibilities. The moment we entered the university, we met a whole new set of entirely different things. New people and new school set up which is way more serious than life in high school.
When we leave college and go to the so-called real world, we then take on an entirely new and sometimes traumatic experience: the job hunt. We know that it is a competitive world out there and it is a battle between the smart and the intelligent individuals. Some count on sheer luck and others depend on family connections. Whichever it is, job hunting proves to be a major challenge for anyone these days,not just for the fresh graduates.
The big challenge is usually the first stages of the application process. After all, this is when we feel the fear of rejection. In fact, we actually feel inadequate when we are sitting beside a straight-A graduate. This fear actually generates so much stress that it might cause health problems along the way.
First of all, you will always experience stress at the start. Since you cannot totally avoid the feeling of anxiety, simply try to manage it.
