Get More Exercise and Active With Everyday Activities

Fitness and exercise is always a god thing for your body and mind.

You’ve tried the whole Gym and exerise thing. But temptation to just sit in front of the TV or to spend a little extra time at your computer is just too big.

There are many other options to get more active, why not try the following.

1)Try chasing your children around the yard. This is a good form of activity and the energy involved is massive, much more than sitting around doing nothing. There is also good benefits for your children, because it keeps them active and healthy as well, also the time spent with your children will be good as well.

2) Plant some FlowersWhen the weather is nice, just get out there and plant some flowers. Or you could start a little vegetable garden, trim some hedges, cut the grass, or plant a tree. You get the idea. Just get out there, enjoy the sunshine and fresh air, and play in the dirt. Yes, this actually counts as exercise in our book.

3) Get out of the house and go for a 30 minute walk, on your own with your children or friends. Getting out and about for the 30 minutes minimum will improve your fitness.

4) Listen to some Music while You Walk. You may even want to consider getting an MP3 Player. You can easily add what you want to listen to and go for your walk.

6) Sign up for a Yoga or Pilates ClassConsider starting a yoga or Pilates class. Both of these workouts are pretty low impact and won’t leave you sweaty and sore (mostly). You may also enjoy meeting some new people in the class.

6) Start Dance Lessons with your Partner. Dancing is very active, fun and romantic. The choice for different dance types is massive, you will find a dance type you enjoy.

7) Go for a Swim. Swimming makes for some great exercise. It is low impact and easy on your joints. Start by swimming a few laps, or play in the pool with your kids.
8) Go for a Bike Ride with the family. You can ride through your neighborhood in the evenings or plan a longer trip for the weekend.

9) Look for some hiking trails in the near area and go for a hike. Start with some easy trails and work yourself from there.

Find something you enjoy, so you will keep doing it. Get out there and enjoy yourself.
